BNU is happy to offer students the opportunity to experience Midwifery at university & gain practical experience in their subject of interest. Our subject tasters include both practical and theoretical input allowing students to really understand the benefit & reality of studying Midwifery at university.
Our taster sessions blend hands-on practical experience with classroom-based learning, helping students make meaningful connections between theory and real-world practice. With guidance from our experienced and supportive academic staff, students will gain insight into the core skills and knowledge required in midwifery, while also engaging in interactive, skills-based activities.
Sessions are held at both our Uxbridge and Aylesbury campuses, where students can explore our high-quality, specialist facilities. You can view these here: https://www.bucks.ac.uk/nursing-and-midwifery-facilities.
Whether students are curious about clinical care, communication in healthcare, or the role of midwives in supporting families, this taster experience provides a valuable first step into the profession.
BNU is also happy to subsidise travel costs to support our partners* in attending as we are aware this can be a difficult challenge to overcome.
For further information please follow the steps below and someone from our Recruitment and Outreach team will be in contact, we are always happy to support.
