This online taster session will give you an insight into what it's like to study Latin American Studies at university. You'll have the chance to hear from one of our academics, participate in a taster lecture and engage with current undergraduates.
How did we get to understand Brazil as the land of carnival?
In this session, we will explore how the image of Brazil was carefully cultivated by the Brazilian government in the 1930s, and how it has endured to the present day.
