Join us and, together, we will debunk myths and realities about what we mean by crime and harm in different areas of the social world. Such areas could be the custody suite, the online space, and the sex industry.

Understand the role that the media plays in the representation of these spaces and people within them. Reflect on how our streaming platforms are filled with ‘true crime’, docuseries, and the latest celebrity court cases or ‘scandals’.

Critically think about fascinations around crime, criminality, and harm in the fictional space - many that are portrayals of real global cases. This event is for anyone who is considering studying Criminology at university level.
