We know that advising students about entry to higher education can be challenging, especially given what seems like frequent changes to student funding and qualifications. This will provide teachers and careers advisors with a free, full-day event to advise you on the latest admissions information and update you with developments at York St John. We hope that the event will meet the needs of both new and experienced practitioners. We will also update you on the services offered by our Schools & Colleges Liaison team and what we can provide for schools and colleges and for your students.
The day will give you an opportunity to get up-to-date information on admissions procedures including changes to university admissions in 2013 and developments such as ABB and changing qualifications etc. We will have a session on student funding and will also be joined by Ian Sinkinson, Student Finance Adviser for Yorkshire and the Humber.
You will be able to put questions to our staff and discover more about our very popular Primary Education and Sport programmes, including the new sports facilities at our 57 acre site close to campus. You will also have the chance to find out more about our new Product Design programme and take a tour of the campus, led by current students. The lunchbreak will provide an opportunity to network with colleagues at other organisations and also to speak to a range of staff from York St John.
