This event is for prospective Year 12 or Level 3, Year 1 students to find out about the wide range of services we offer to meet their needs and support a smooth transition into Higher Education.
Organised by our Widening Access team, this small-scale event is set up to be accessible, reassuring and confidence building.
Students will meet a wide range of UWE Bristol service teams, such as Disability Support, the Student Money Service and UWE Cares (for young carers, care leavers and estranged students) and learn about the support they provide. There will also be an opportunity to take a small group tour of the campus and meet current students.
Please note: the event will not include any course-specific content. It can be attended by students interested in any of our courses at our Frenchay, City and Glenside campuses.

Who is this event for?
In line with our commitment to increasing access to Higher Education for young people from under-represented backgrounds, we particularly welcome students from the groups below:
• Students who live in low participation neighbourhoods (e.g., POLAR quintiles 1 or 2. Please use the OfS postcode checker to identify students)
• Students with disabilities, learning differences, mental health conditions or who are neurodivergent
• Carers, care leavers or students estranged from their families
• Students from Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller Communities
• Students who are first in their family to experience Higher Education (neither parent has been in HE)
• Students from military families
• Refugees
• Are currently, or have previously, received free school meals during secondary education
In addition to these groups, those who might find a larger event overwhelming and would therefore benefit from this smaller scale event are also welcome to attend.
