Full event details

The year 2021 celebrated our centenary, marking 100 years of education at the University of Leicester. Let’s look back at our history and how we were founded as a living war memorial, ‘a palace of peace’, founding ideas that we proudly cherish.

We are giving local schools and the local community the opportunity to visit our historic campus and discover the history of the University. The tours will explore the themes of peace and remembrance through visiting the University of Leicester’s campus, the Arch of Remembrance and Peace Walk in neighbouring Victoria Park.

For this project, the University of Leicester kindly received funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to the National Lottery players.
