University event offered by University of London
Short Session Delivered online
As a society, we are increasingly getting sicker across all age groups and health conditions. This session will discuss why we need new solutions to address our growing healthcare needs. We will review current developments in organ transplantation and treatment of neurological disease and cancer which are transforming the way we treat patients. The role of innovation and enterprise in how emerging medical treatments get from the lab to the clinic will be discussed.
This taster session will also feature a summary of the Medical Innovation and Enterprise programme and a Q&A with the Admissions Tutor and a current student.
This taster course is open to students in Year 11 (GCSE or equivalent year), Year 12, Year 13 (final year A Level/IB students) or anyone who is thinking of starting their undergraduate studies in September 2024 or September 2025.
Biology and either Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics required
