Full event details

Running shoes are a £multibillion worldwide market but what benefit do you get from a £200 pair of trainers? Do they make you run faster or do we need running shoes at all? Hear how biomechanical analysis at the University of Huddersfield enables scientists to define the impact of running shoes on running.

The Discover Programme consists of subject-specific lectures and workshops aimed at Year 12 or Year 1 college students, delivered by academics that teach at the University.

These sessions are designed to both complement the curriculum and introduce new subject areas.
