Short Session Delivered at your school/college
This is an insight into the role of a Children’s Nurse, the specialist skills they have and a look at a typical day on a children’s ward (if there is such a thing when working with little people). Career opportunities available and what a degree at the University of Huddersfield entails will be discussed to give a holistic view of the potential career path of a Children’s Nurse.
The Discover Programme consists of subject-specific lectures and workshops aimed at Year 12 or Year 1 college students, delivered by academics that teach at the University.
These sessions are designed to both complement the curriculum and introduce new subject areas.
