Full event details

There are many reasons why people visit tourist attractions. Most of these cocern pleasure, enjoyment and entertainment. However, there are many tourist attractions that focus on death, destruction and suffering. This taster session will explain why tourists visit these attractions and some of the ethical issues for the visitor, attraction and destination.

The Discover Programme consists of subject-specific lectures and workshops aimed at Year 12 or Year 1 college students, delivered by academics that teach at the University.

These sessions are designed to both complement the curriculum and introduce new subject areas.
