When do you start your career in architecture? Of course, legally you can only call yourself an Architect once you have passed you Part III examination but, in all probability, your career has already started. Whether you are conscious of this or not, the personal investment you have made - choosing your A levels, selecting your university, finding work experience, having a mentor, visiting buildings either finished or under construction - are all part of your burgeoning career. How do you make the most of these experiences and choices? How do these factor in your seeking your first full-time employment?
What should you expect of the profession? How will the profession and the industry treat you? There is not one answer to these questions as every experience is different. In this panel we seek three responses from three professionals at different stages in their career and with differing routes to their current positions. In essence we invite their advice to you about how they navigated the obstacles and opportunities to find paths to success, however success might be measured.
