Join us for a friendly online taster lecture to support your current studies and find out what it might be like to study economics at university.
Session time: Tuesday 13 June, 11.15-12.15
insight4me is a series of subject specific webinars for current Year 12/Year 13 students. The sessions support students’ current studies by giving an insight into particular curriculum areas whilst affording students the opportunity to talk to universities and make informed comparisons about how, in this case, Economics is taught.
In this session, Dr Amrish Patel, representing University of East Anglia, will present How should we regulate externalities?
Amrish will look at classic government intervention through the eyes of a behavioural economist and then identify new policies that follow from behavioural economics.
Students will have the chance to ask and respond to questions and share their own ideas.
Suitable for: Year 12 & 13 students (and equivalent) studying, or with a possible interest in studying, Economics and related disciplines. Student groups, and individual students and teachers are very welcome to join us.
