Our 'Be Inspired' Enrichment events offer Post 16 students so much more than just a taster session. They can get a feel for a subject area, while getting to test-drive a selection of specific degree programmes, helping to familiarise them with new, exciting fields and courses. These practical, on-campus sessions place students in our modern facilities, next to our academic experts.

The events listed below offer your students the chance to explore a range of fields they may have not previously considered. Places are limited and we recommend early booking to avoid disappointment. We look for a maximum of just 15 students from each institution, to give as many schools and colleges the chance to attend on each day.

Examples include:

Criminal Justice
This day is designed to showcase the fascinating subject areas of Criminology, Law, Forensic Science, and Forensic Psychology and how they work together and interact to potentially solve a case.

Computer Science:
The dynamic sectors and studies relating to computer science and games computing will be showcased during this day, with sessions that will feature academic team members from the fields of robotics, digital education, and gaming.

Humanities and Heritage:
This looks at how historic objects give us a view into past worlds and prompt numerous questions such as: where do they come from, what are they made from, what do they tell us about cultures in the past, why are they there and who might claim ownership of them. These questions are all considered through the lens of Conservation, Philosophy, English, and History. These days are a great way to help students develop skills and techniques in the various disciplines.
