A Taste of Physics and Astronomy

Are you fascinated by the mysteries of the Universe? Do you want to learn more about quantum fluids or the building blocks of matter? Perhaps you are curious to learn how we can look inside a black hole, or maybe you want to learn how to search for the mysterious substance that makes up 85% of the Universe. If yes, this one-day Taster Day at Royal Holloway is for all students who want to learn more about a degree in Physics. You will attend lectures from world-leading experts, a Q&A with current physics students, a session with our admissions tutors to ask about the UCAS process, and opportunities to experience our inclusive personal tutoring offered to all students. In addition, we will conduct tours of our state-of-the-art research facilities and give you time to discover life at our beautiful campus.

This taster course is open to students in Year 12, Year 13 (final year A Level/IB students) or anyone who is thinking of starting their undergraduate studies in September 2023 or in September 2024.
