While some clear overlaps within these subjects exist, the nature of how they critically analyse topics is different. Join us for this online event to see how each subject approaches the same topic, and discover which “Ology” is the right one for you.

We look back at the treatment of Brendan Dassey from the classic Netflix series Making a Murderer. Help us explore the way he was interviewed and processed through the Criminal Justice System. Unpick the ways in which Forensic Psychology would analyse the media representation of this case. Reflect on the unfortunate reality of such treatment of vulnerable offenders in a global justice context and compare to how Criminology would analyse the situation.
