In this course we'll explore the fundamentals of manufacturing with biology: using case studies of how Biochemical Engineers are helping to develop new cancer treatment and the application of stem cells in cell therapy. We will introduce the UCL Pilot Plant: how process engineering and R&D in this area can impact how pharmaceuticals will be made in future.

This course is particularly suitable for students who are would like a course where they can combine maths with sciences, or who are interested in a career in the growing sector of biotechnology.
