Subject Discovery Days are free, themed campus events for sixth form and college students, featuring interactive subject sessions, project challenges and group activities. Students can explore our award-winning campus, meet current undergraduates, and discover where their chosen subjects could take them in the future.
Help your students explore their future study and career options with Edge Hill University's Subject Discovery Days. Designed for sixth form and college students (post-16), these free on-campus events provide an engaging introduction to a range of subject areas, giving students the opportunity to experience university-level learning before making informed higher education choices.
Each Discovery Day has its own unique theme, allowing students to engage with their chosen subject in interactive and memorable ways. Whether through project challenges, friendly competitions, practical workshops or collaborative group activities, students are encouraged to develop their skills, explore new ideas and experience how their subject is studied at university.
There is also the opportunity to explore Edge Hill's award-winning campus and facilities, hear from current undergraduate students studying related courses, and ask questions about student life, studying at university and future progression routes.
Subject Discovery Days are designed to complement A Level and BTEC study, enabling students to deepen their understanding of their chosen subject while supporting informed decision-making about progression to higher education. The strong focus on careers and progression means these events can also contribute towards Gatsby Benchmark objectives within your school's careers programme.
