At The Heart of Government – Session Description
How are decisions made, how does Prime Ministerial and Cabinet Government work and how do politicians use the press? A lecture on approaches to Government, incorporating examples from the Blair, Brown, Cameron, May and Johnson Governments followed by a workshop in which students will put themselves in the shoes of decision makers and the media and explore how to deal with a particular scenario. This is likely to include a mock cabinet meeting or a mock press conference. This will suit both students studying politics and those interested in current affairs.
