Preparing for a university interview
Ruth looks at how university interviews have changed during the Covid-19 pandemic. She talks about the different types of interviews you may have, what happens on the day, how you are assessed and what skills universities want to see.
More recently, online interviews have become common and Ruth talks about how these are conducted. She touches on the advantages to online interviews opposed to face-to-face interviews, and shares some tips to ensure everything goes well.
She goes on to speak about what you should do before the interview and why it is important to prepare some questions to ask the interviewers. Finally, she talks about challenging questions you may be asked and how you should respond.
How to impress at university interviews
Bronwen talks about how to prepare yourself on the day of the interview and how to make a good first impression.
Opening questions can be one of the most difficult and Bronwen looks at classic opening questions, and how you should answer them to impress the interviewer.
Online interviews are becoming increasingly common due to the Covid-19 pandemic, explains Bronwen. She speaks about how these are done, how you should conduct yourself and the importance of body language.
Bronwen goes on to look at questions interviewers like to ask and shares her advice for how to answer them. There are different types of questions you will be asked such as competency based questions, situational based questions and questions based on your personal statement. Finally, Bronwen talks about why it is important to ask questions during your interview.
