Children and Families in Lockdown: How might practitioners provide support bubbles and avert future troubles?

Virtual Taster Event
Wednesday 10 March 2021, 4PM - 5PM

Early Help services support children and families to overcome challenges and disadvantages by focusing on strengths. The coronavirus lockdown restrictions exacerbate such challenges and disadvantages. What new strengths have children and families developed? And can we build the future of Early Help services round them?

This virtual taster event will scan the horizon for the future support bubbles and everyday troubles that children and families face. By looking over the dramatic lockdown landscape, the discussion will help you identify the difference you wish to make in it.
The event is led by Stuart Gallagher, senior lecturer and course leader of the foundation degree, Child and Family Support Work. As part of this taster event, we will explain the part this degree and its students can play in shaping family support work for the better – for all of us
