Keele University is hosting the HELOA* Midlands conference for teachers and advisers on Wednesday 15 May. We’d like to invite you to save the date and to pass the details to other colleagues who are involved in advising Year 12 and 13 students on their higher education choices. Last year’s programme included sessions on Information, Advice and Guidance, courses in Healthcare and updates on Student Funding and student Number Controls.

There is no charge for attending the conference with lunch and refreshments provided and details on the programme for this year will be available in due course.

*HELOA is the professional association of staff in higher education who work in the field of education liaison and provide guidance and information to prospective students, their families and advisers.

Keele University’s Recruitment and Outreach team works closely with schools and colleges by attending Higher Education fairs, delivering IAG presentations on a range of topics relating to university and arranging campus visits for groups of students.

The Recruitment and Outreach team also represent Keele University at UCAS Exhibitions across the country and arranges the annual Teachers’ and Advisers’ Conference at Keele Hall.

The team also acts as the recruitment and outreach link for the three Faculties at Keele University, arranging academic taster sessions for schools and colleges and helping to develop working relationships between teachers and academic staff.
