Full event details

Taking on the roles of solicitors and barristers, students will work through a criminal case involving actual bodily harm, theft or harassment, from the point of receiving a court brief, through to interviewing witnesses and finally preparing and arguing their case in court.

Students will be supported by current law undergraduates and academic staff from the law school and will utilise the new court room facilities in the Chaucer building on NTU’s City site. As well as learning about essential legal skills such as client interviewing and advocacy they will also be able to build on their team-working, critical thinking, communication and leadership skills as part of this hands-on event.

Students considering a career within the legal profession will find this an invaluable insight into life as a solicitor or barrister.

Bookings are welcome from individual students or school/college groups.
