Discover American Studies
From the devastating events of 9/11, to Hurricane Katrina in 2005 (and more recently with Hurricane Sandy), to the financial crash of 2008, the last decade can be described as one characterised by crisis for the USA. In what ways has literature, art, and popular culture responded to these events? And what can we learn about America's role in the world today as a result? As well as finding the answers to these questions, you will have the opportunity to meet current undergraduate students and learn how to write a convincing personal statement.
