Jaguar Land Rover Experience Day (Year 12 & 13) - Tuesday 5th December 9.15am - 2.30pm

Organised jointly by Aston University and top employers in the West Midlands, our employer engagement activities allow students to access the professions that have shaped our city and inspire them as to how they too can become part of this ever growing success. Each event is designed to increase students' understanding of the range of employment opportunities available to them in the region and the essential soft skills which employers look for in the world of work. Some events will take place at the company’s offices in the West Midlands, allowing students a once in a life time opportunity to gain inside perspective and careers advice from industry experts.

Held at Jaguar Land Rover's (JLR) Engine Manufacturing factory in Wolverhampton, this event will provide students with a unique inside perspective of the UK's largest automotive manufacturing business. Throughout the day pupils will learn about JLR’s innovative global marketing strategies in addition to its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, before getting the chance to explore behind the scenes at JLR’s Engine Manufacturing Centre.

Learners will also be given the opportunity to explore the vast range of career opportunities within the automotive industry and hear from JLR’s recent University graduates. Finally, pupils will discover the different training opportunities available within the company and explore the skills that employers, like JLR, are looking for in the next generation of engineers.

Please note, for health and safety reasons students must be accompanied by a teacher for the duration of the event.
