EVENT FULL We are delighted to invite you and your Level 3 students to our subject conferences hosted by the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.

Full Event Details:

It is an exciting time for the department of Mathematics and Computer Science. Over the last few years we’ve introduced degrees in Mathematics, Electronic Engineering and MEng Electronic and Computer Engineering. Liverpool Hope University is ranked as 1st in the North West and 4th in the UK for overall Student Satisfaction from the 2016 National Student Survey. Computer Science achieved a 100% satisfaction rating from our students.
All conferences will take place at our Hope Park campus, Liverpool, L16 9JD. Please note, due to the interactive nature of each Conference we have a limited number of places available so early booking is advised.

Electronic Engineering taster day will be on Wednesday 9th November 2016 from 2pm – 4.30pm.

1.30pm – 2pm Arrival at Hope. The Conference will begin promptly at 2 pm.
2pm – 2.15pm Welcome to Liverpool Hope
2.15pm – 3.15pm Robotics
Students will be introduced to the basics of programming robots through a hands-on session using a robot simulator and robotic buggies.
3.15pm – 4.15pm Embedded Systems
Students will have the opportunity to use development boards such as the Arduino to develop small systems such as might form part of the "Internet of Things" where everyday objects can communicate over the Internet.
4.15pm – 4.30pm Closing Address and Q & A
4.30pm Depart Hope

Our Student Recruitment team with students, teachers and careers advisers deliver impartial information, advice and guidance showcasing the benefits of university.

Our aim is to inspire young minds, increase engagement of learners in our local and wider community and to increase access to higher education for all.
