Full event details

This conference will take place at our Hope Park campus, Liverpool, L16 9JD.
The day will go as follows:

1pm-2pm Optional Campus Tour (Please advise if you would like to book spaces on a tour)
1.30pm-2pm Arrival at Hope. The Conference will begin promptly at 2pm.
2pm – 2.15pm Welcome to Liverpool Hope and our Disability & Education Department
2.15pm-3.15pm Why Study Disability and Education?
This session will examine some of the reasons why it is important to study disability at university. The session will emphasise the relationship between Disability Studies and social justice and their relevance to education.
3.15pm – 4.15pm Disability, Culture and Education
This session will explore contemporary cultural representations of disability in order to explore social attitudes towards disability and their importance to education.
4.15pm – 4.30pm Closing Address and Q & A
4.30pm Depart Hope.
