Year 12 Induction Days
19 September 2016
26 September 2016
The importance of starting Year 12 in a positive and committed manner has never been more important than the present time. With the changes in the A level curriculum and linear examinations, students need to understand that being proactive and committed in Year 12 is far more important now than ever before. With this in mind, the University of Birmingham is organising induction days for students in Year 12 focusing on the importance that Year 12 plays in the success of achieving grades necessary to enter degree programmes in year 13. The messages throughout the day are designed to inform students about the steps they will need to take in Year 12 in order to realise their academic potential and higher education aspirations.
We are asking partner schools and colleges to target those students that have the drive to enter a Russell Group university, those with a pupil premium background and those who are currently under represented within higher education such as white working class males and black males. Both days will run 10.00am -2.30pm.
