Event Summary:

Get Ahead at UCLan is an exciting opportunity for current Year 11 and 12 students who want to experience a taste of university life. Stay at our Preston Campus for free and gain valuable skills in study techniques, team working, leadership skills, problem solving, personal statement guidance and much more.

Full Event Details:

The summer residential events will:

Explore HE, career aspirations and graduate employability

Include fun social activities, sports events and outdoor leadership activities

Highlight subjects available to study at the University through delivery of engaging, hands-on and challenging academic-led workshops

Provide advice on applying to HE and information about fees and finance, and personal statement guidance

Raise motivation for attainment in certain subjects.

You'll be introduced to the UCLan experience and take a look around our state-of-the-art facilities and chat to students who are already studying here.

The residential events are free to attend. Transport to the University is not provided but accommodation, all meals and refreshments will be provided for all attendees free of charge.

The summer residential events take place over 4 days and 3 nights.

The following dates are available:

1. 27th-30th July
2. 3rd-6th August
