This workshop for year 10 or year 11 students addresses (and avoids) the potential situation where a student’s option choices made previously may result in them not being able to study the degree subject they’re most interested in.
Full Event Details:
This includes activities looking at what subjects may open the doors to university for students, university courses requiring specific A Level (or equivalent) choices and potential subject combinations matched to each person’s individual learning style.
It suits both students with a clear idea of higher education choices, and those who simply haven’t got a clue!
Group size: 5 - 35
Duration: 45 minutes (without learning style exercise) or 1 hour (with exercise).
Who will deliver the sessions?
All sessions will be facilitated by Jon Cheek, the Founder and Director of UniTasterDays Ltd. Jon has spent a career working in higher education, working with schools throughout the UK. He has worked for three Midlands universities and also sat as an Executive Director of the Higher Education External Relations Association.
UniTasterDays is a Careers England Member organisation, an affiliate member of The Careers Development Institute and a collaborative partner of HELOA.
We are not funded for sessions, so charges apply. If you don't have any budget for independent UniTasterDays workshops, do remember that universities offer great events too - which are usually free of charge. You can browse these on the UniTasterDays.com site.
