Full event details
The presentation provides information relating to our academic history and reputation, social facilities, support facilities, accommodation and the city of Manchester, as well as more general information on higher education. The campus tour takes in our Students' Union, the John Rylands University Library, the Old Quadrangle (the oldest part of the University), University teaching buildings, the University Precinct Centre and Manchester Aquatics Centre.
If you would like to arrange a visit for your students we would be happy to facilitate this on any of the afternoons listed below (availability permitting). There is a sample programme outline below and further details will be made available after you have made a booking reservation and received a confirmation email from the Undergraduate Recruitment and Widening Participation Team. Please note that there may be other school/college groups in attendance as we need a minimum of 25 students to run a session.
Example campus visit timetable
Time Activity
1.30pm Arrival on campus.
1.40pm University presentation – a short presentation including video clips of some of our current students. It includes an introduction to the University, advice on choosing a university and course, and student life.
2.15pm Student panel – an opportunity to ask questions to our student ambassadors about any aspect of university life.
2.30pm Campus tour.
3.30pm Depart.
