Full Event Details:
This Health Taster Day is designed to give sixth form and college students a taste of studying courses related to health and social care at University. Course sessions may include nursing, midwifery, radiography, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, social work and working with children and families (subject to availability).
The day runs from 10am till 3pm and includes a welcome, a choice of two taster sessions from the list above, a break for lunch, and evaluation. There will also be information sessions on student finance and personal statements/succeeding at interview. The taster sessions are designed to be interactive but also to inform students about the entry requirements and work experience needed for each course.
Places on the most popular sessions - such as nursing and midwifery - are limited so we will ask your students to pick their first, second, third and fourth choices of session prior to attending. We will contact you via email to ask about your students' choices once you have booked. Please return the student choice form as soon as you can to avoid disappointment.
