UCB offers college ‘Have a Go’ opportunities aimed at Year 10 and 11 students.

The food and hospitality industry is experiencing Stella growth, but with this expansion there is a growing need for talented individuals. University College Birmingham, is offering schools across the midlands a chance for your students to get taste of first class food and hospitality training. Not only will this day open your students’ eyes to the many careers in the sector it will also link with elements of the Food Preparation and Nutrition GCSE.

Join us for a day of exploration as your students discover British and international cuisines, develop bakery and culinary techniques, go behind the scenes of food science and become connoisseurs in the art of mocktail making. You never know perhaps your school has the next Glynn Purnell, Nadiya Hussain or Fred Sirieix! Don’t forget students will not only have an insight into the food and hospitality sector, including careers and vocational courses, they will also go home with decorated bakes and a freshly cooked meal. Dates do get booked up fast so enquire now to ensure you don’t miss out.

Sessions last for 5 1/2 hours and are available once-a-week on a Tuesday.

Min: 10 students
Max: 14 students

Please note our ‘Have a Go’ sessions fill up fast and are booked on a first-come first-serve basis. An enquiry does not guarantee booking.
