Full event details

Gill Lowe and Suzy Morton are haematology (blood specialist) doctors. In ‘a bleeding problem’ they will discuss their clinical training and daily work including the variety of conditions they treat. Gill looks after patients with blood clotting disorders. She has undertaken clinical research into patients who have problems with their platelets (small blood cells that plug sites of injury) and will outline this. Suzy is a specialist in transfusion medicine. Blood products for transfusion are a life saving and precious resource, and she will discuss the ways in which they can be used and
current ‘hot topics’ in this field.
