Full event details

Obesity is a growing health and social problem worldwide, which receives much press and
political attention. The session will examine the change in obesity rates over the last decades, what has contributed to the increasing rate, and why it is important to control this. The interaction between changes in our lifestyle, the society and environment we live in, and our genetic make up will be discussed. There will also be a summary of approaches that have been tried for the prevention and management of obesity in children and adults. The session will be interactive, with questions and discussion with the audience.
