Event Summary:
To demonstrate scientific topics and programmes covered at the University of Greenwich and give students an insight into university life.
Full Event Details:
Students have the opportunity to take a tour of the campus while University of Greenwich students talk about what life at university is really like. There are short talks
on the university’s degree programmes and on possible future career paths for science
graduates.
The afternoon sessions are interactive workshops. Please note these are
subject to availability. Students select two from the following: electrophoresis, spectroscopy, forensic science and pharmacy (subject to change).
At the end of this taster course, students will:
••Be aware of the various topics and course-specific content of the university’s
science programmes
••Have heard about student life from current students at the university
••Have experienced what it is like to be a university student for the day
••Have taken part in a lab-based practical in either chemistry, biology, forensics or
pharmacy.
