This course is designed for anyone interested in the history and future of the Creative and Cultural Industries - music, art, design and media. It would suit both those who work, or aspire to work, in the creative sector. We will focus on the profound changes over the past two decades - globalisation, digitisation and convergence - and how these processes have transformed the structure of the industries. Alongside lectures and discussions on the latest academic perspectives on these changes, we will offer access to some industry insiders and practical sessions aimed at fostering critical thinking and developing transferable skills.
