Full event details

The course teaches the main methods used by firms to manage risks and their applications in the global economy. It introduces financial markets and the principles of risk management and explains how to evaluate and to apply the main risk management tools. The course looks at the use of financial derivatives for hedging and speculation in financial markets. It also addresses the potential pitfalls of risk management and discusses how an inappropriate use of risk management tools might have exacerbated the recent financial crisis.
