A hands on taster event in 2 parts, a lab session focusing on biochemical processes and a demo session on pharmacology using a synthetic human being to illustrate what happens to a body when drugs are administered.

Full Event Details:
Part 1. Interested in studying biological based science but unsure of what it will be like, what course to choose and how it links to a career?
•We will show how laboratory-based teaching can be illuminated by research with hands on experiments
•Study some simple biochemical and chemical processes linked to cellular ageing and neurodegeneration
Part 2. Ever wondered how that drug your family member is taking to treat their diabetes or heart condition works? Interested in the processes through which drugs are discovered and eventually become medicines? If so, you may be interested in studying Pharmacology at University
