Contemporary African Art: This masterclass will analyse some of the contemporary arts of Africa and the discourses that underpin their practice. The masterclass will be led by Dr Charles Gore, Senior Lecturer in the History of Art, specialising in countries such as Kenya, Sierra Leone and Nigeria.

This masterclass will analyse some of the contemporary arts of Africa and the discourses that underpin their practice. The masterclass will be led by Dr Charles Gore, Senior Lecturer in the History of Art, specialising in countries such as Kenya, Sierra Leone and Nigeria.
Participants will explore localised histories of production, distribution and consumption of contemporary arts and approaches to understanding their development.They will also take part in a group activity and have the chance to meet current undergraduate students. In addition, participants will further develop their critical thinking, analytical and public speaking skills
