This section of a UCAS form can make or break the application – a pressure which makes it hard to think straight. Based on insider advice from our university admissions team, we will show what makes a good statement and give practical tips on preparing and writing a personal statement.

This short presentation will be followed by a virtual question and answer session.

We will cover things to include in a personal statement to ensure you show how you are suitable for both the academic and social side of university. Students will be encouraged to start their personal statement earlier and allow plenty of time to write various drafts as they work to perfect their statement. As well as hearing some top tips on writing your personal statement, students will also have the opportunity to ask questions.

A personal statement factsheet will also be available to support the presentation and to provide a summary of what is discussed and information on how to find out more.
