Aimed at years 10 and 11, these sessions focus on careers, entry and study routes in
specific subject areas. Conferences include parallel sessions for teachers and careers
advisers on career opportunities and progression into and within subject sectors.
Full Event Details:
Designed to help learners decide if the subject area is one they wish to continue into FE and HE level, a subject conference unpacks the variety of courses and career progression routes available. Learners will examine the achievements needed for GCSE
entry and the Level 3 requirements for getting into university while teachers and careers advisers have the opportunity to attend a session tailored for them.
This event will feature the most popular Health related courses that we offer at Bucks New University which are: Operating Department Practitioner (ODP); Nursing; Health and Social Care; and Social Work.
Students should come along to learn about the exciting opportunities that are available in the health sector whilst also getting to witness the practical side of the courses along with the chance to experience the lectures that also come with these courses. Teachers and Careers Advisors should come along to find out more about progression routes into and through these areas so they can accurately advise students.
As part of this event, lunch is included free of charge for all in attendance. In some instances we may be able to contribute towards travel costs but please contact us to check if this is applicable.
