Drawing on her 2003 work, and ten years on from the Laming Report, post-Victoria Climbe, this lecture examines the evolving role of the paediatrician in safeguarding children. The past decade has seen a lot of attention in this area, with a number of high-profile cases hitting the news. The lecture also looks at the developing role of the paediatrician as a key and reflective practitioner within the child protection system
