The Open Day will also enable you to get advice from University staff on important issues such as admissions procedures, student finance and graduate careers.

You can view our sports facilities, take a tour of libraries and computer suites, visit some of our student accommodation and take a tour of the Students’ Union.

The following talks will be on offer:
Student Finance:
What are tuition fees, maintenance loans, grants, bursaries and scholarships? How and when do you apply, and what are the extra sources of money that are available?

Student Life:
Students give you their views on life in Cardiff. Find out what the Students’ Union has to offer you, what students do all day and what life is really like at one of the UK’s most popular universities from the people who really know.

Cardiff University Students’ Union: Get Involved, Love Cardiff:
When you enrol at Cardiff University, you automatically become a member of the Students’ Union. Housed in its own purpose-built building, the Students’ Union exists to help students enjoy their time in Cardiff. The Students’ Union is always buzzing with activity, with cafes, a pub, a nightclub, a nationally renowned live music venue and other venues that host a variety of student nights including comedy, theatre and cinema. Guided Tours: Cardiff students’ will be giving guided tours around the Union building throughout the day. They will be delighted to answer your questions about the Union and its facilities.
Student Life Talks: Come along to the Student Life Talks where the Elected Officers will give you the low down on the Students’ Union and what life as a student in Cardiff has to offer.
Food Outlets: The Kitchen Café (2nd floor) is a great place to stop for a rest, serving hot and cold beverages, baguettes, panini’s, sandwiches and a selection of cakes. The Taf (Union pub) is situated on the 2nd floor and will be offering a selection of homemade, traditional ‘pub grub’ throughout the day. CF10 Café (1st floor) is open from 9am – 3pm, and offers a variety of hot and cold breakfast and lunch options. The Union Shop (1st floor) sells a range of light lunch options including sandwiches, pasties crisps, drinks and chocolate.
