Our campus

Wrexham University’s campuses reflect our specialisms, as well as host a range of facilities to meet the needs of students. Each campus has its own distinct character, identity and purpose, and is an asset to not only our student population but also its community and the businesses in the region. Wrexham campus is our main campus, Northop is our rural home for animal sciences and St Asaph focuses on high-level opto-electronics technology.

Our library

Our library, based in the Library and Student Support Centre, houses hundreds of thousands of journals, electronic resources and books, as well as providing plenty of quiet study and group work areas. The university has computer suites conveniently located across campus and there are specialist labs for Computing, Engineering and Art and Design students.

Student Support and Students' Union

In the Library and Student Support Centre, you will find most of our student support services. Support is also on offer from the award-winning Students’ Union, where you can enjoy many of the university's social facilities, including the student bar, Glyn's.

Study spaces

We have three modern and welcoming social learning spaces: The Study, The Gallery, and The B-Hive. They are colourful, stylish and practical, with great lighting, comfortable seating, air conditioning and plenty of three-point and USB charging sockets.

Teaching spaces

A key part of our £80 million investment into our campus is improving our teaching spaces. Our B corridor teaching spaces have been completely renovated, with excellent AV equipment, accessible workstations and clean designs. From classrooms and lecture theatres to our SCALE-UP rooms and Moot Court, each space has student learning at its heart. We have developed subject-specific spaces including new science labs, Biomechanics and Performances Sciences Laboratory, Cyber Innovation Academy, our Colliers Park National Football Development Centre and a Veterinary Nursing clinical suite. We have also developed a Health Education & Innovation Quarter (HEIQ) to include a Healthcare Simulation Centre for hands-on learning.
