About King's College London
The Schools and Colleges Liaison and Widening Participation departments at King’s are the main points of contact for schools, colleges, teachers and Higher Education providers.
We primarily work with year 11, 12 and 13 students and their teachers, advisers and parents from across the UK, as well as co-ordinate the university's widening participation activities.
Discover more about what we do and how we can support you through our institution profile below. We look forward to working with you and your students over the coming year.
Higher education and careers fairs
We attend higher education and careers fairs throughout the UK for students in Years 11, 12 and 13.
A highly trained team of King's staff or our experienced student ambassadors will be available to advise students and their parents on the opportunities available at King’s, student life, and applying to us. If you are organising your school or college’s higher education or careers fair, please contact us as soon as you have a date.
We also attend UCAS conventions throughout the UK in the spring and summer.
Talks and workshops for students
Our experienced Schools and Colleges Liaison team and student ambassadors deliver a range of lively and engaging talks and workshops to students in years 12 and 13, who are expected to meet entry requirements for their chosen courses. Talks normally last 30-45 minutes plus a 15 minute question and answer session, but they can be tailored to your requirements.
Please note, as we are a small team we may not be able to accept all school requests.
We offer the following sessions for Year 12 students:
- Studying in London
- Why go to university?
- Choosing the right course
- Competitive applications
- Personal statements
We offer the following sessions for Year 13 students:

You can read more about these talks by clicking on the relevant listed event on our events page.
We hold open days every summer at our Strand and Guy's campuses. By attending an open day, your students will not only be able to attend talks and workshops on the application process and writing personal statements, but they will also be able to find out more about their particular subject of interest, speak to academics and current students.
Your students can register individually to attend an open day or alternatively book through the Schools and Colleges team to bring a group of your students.
Virtual Open Weeks (online)
