Who Cares? We Do.

We care about the future of both our students and the planet and have been named the UK’s No.1 university for sustainability (People and Planet University League 2019).

At the University of Gloucestershire, we’ll give you the freedom to express yourself and the inspiration to push yourself. You’ll explore what’s important to you and be supported to reach your full potential.

Where will my degree take me?

We’ll help you build the confidence and experience you need to feel ready for the next step after graduating. With 95% of our graduates moving into employment or further study within 6 months of graduating (DLHE survey 2016/17), you can be sure that we will support you to become the best graduate you can be, so you feel ready for the next step.

Will I fit in?

You’ll be joining a diverse, vibrant and connected community of over 10,000 students and staff. It’s an amazing environment to figure out your own authentic direction and collaborate with people to reach your goals. And with more than 80 sports clubs and societies to choose from, there is something for everyone to get involved with.

Will I love life in Gloucestershire?

Gloucestershire offers the best of both city and country living. It’s as vibrant and innovative as it is historic and beautiful. Our county isn’t what you might expect. Sure, we have plenty of cheese (rolling), cows and outdoor activities across the Cotswold Hills. We also have world-famous festivals, international-standard sports facilities and an eclectic mix of music, venues and nightlife.

How will I be supported?

You’ll never be just a number to us. We have small class sizes and outstanding student support teams that offer 1-to-1, confidential advice to help you make the most of your time here. And with a personal tutor assigned to you on day 1, there will always be someone available to support and advise you throughout your studies.

Is it worth it?

Discover who you are and what you can achieve when you set your mind to it. University is about more than a career – learn how to live independently, make lifelong friendships and try new things. It’s okay to not know everything – you’ll learn a lot on your course and a lot off-campus too.

You’ll experience new things that will shape your future, like developing new skills at one of our clubs and societies or going out of your comfort zone on an international trip. University is a journey, and we’ll be right there with you.

How can I protect the planet?

There are many ways to get involved with protecting the planet and creating a better environment to study in. You can help to lead the way through research and field trips, community action and climate strikes, and as part of your course.

That’s why we’re the UK’s most sustainable university.

Who Cares? We Do.
