Students will use the practical technique of chromatography (a knowledge of which is required by different AS level Chemistry exam specifications) to determine the caffeine content of different colas. Students will also be able to tour the facilities in the Department of Food and Nutritional Sciences, as well as hearing from one of the academics about possible scientific careers in the food industry.

This event is suitable for Year 12 students studying AS-level Chemistry.
