Join us for this exciting and practical two-day Script to Screen course designed for 14–17-year-olds eager to explore the key elements of the film production process.?? 

Working in a supportive and inspiring environment in our professional standard?School of Film and Television facilities, you’ll explore fundamental screen industry skills using industry standard equipment.

During this course you will experience:?? 

  • A production studio, working in camera, lighting, directing, acting and collaborating as a crew.?
  • A postproduction studio, exploring editing and colour grading.? 
  • A Foley Suite and Dubbing Theatre control room, working at postproduction sound and re-recording.?
  • Our purpose-built cinema, for a final screening of short films made within the School of Film and Television to conclude the second day.?

During the day, you will:  

  • Receive introductory practical training in cinematography, sound and visual postproduction???
  • Meet a range of professionals in the industry and gain valuable advice based on their experience???
  • Meet like-minded individuals with a passion for film and start building your filmmaking network? 

By the end of the course, you will:  

  • Have gained an introductory understanding of the fundamentals of filmmaking, cinematography, sound and visual postproduction.? 
  • Understand crew roles in short filmmaking.?
  • Have gained an understanding of postproduction facilities, and stages of the film production process.? 

You’ll be taught by our experienced Falmouth University staff. The course includes refreshments, lunch, and all materials you’ll need for the day. Please note: residential accommodation is not provided.
