This popular interactive session takes you into the fascinating world of big data, where we explore how big data shapes every facet of our lives. Starting from looking at the growth of big data, we will look at how to understand big data, data analytics, and AI in the context of modern business. We will explore examples of big data in modern business, the behind-the-scenes of how big data is used in business and have an interactive discussion of the benefits and potential drawbacks of these technologies.
The Discover Programme consists of subject-specific lectures and workshops aimed at Year 12 or Year 1 college students, delivered by academics that teach at the University.
These sessions are designed to both complement the curriculum and introduce new subject areas.
