Health and Human Sciences Taster Session

This one-hour taster session will provide a short overview of the Health and Human Sciences BMedSci. We'll then use the case study of the Coronavirus pandemic to introduce participants to some of the key elements of our degree.

First, we'll consider the role of evidence in health sciences in our 'Led by the Science' focus. Second, we'll begin to explore inequalities in health in the UK and in relation to Covid-19 in particular. There will be opportunities to interact throughout and we'll finish with a further opportunity for discussion and questions.

By the end of the session, participants will:
1. Known the key elements of the Health and Human Sciences BMedSci
2. Appreciate of the role of evidence in the health sciences
3. Understand what is meant by health inequality
